Provide direct patient care in the orthopedic clinic. Perform nursing care of patients including administration of medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
Responsible for performing circulating and/or scrub nurse duties for orthopedic cases in the Operating Room. Provide other assistance as needed.
Provide nursing care to patients preoperatively, perioperatively and postoperatively in support of care directed by the surgeon.
Maintain exam rooms, prepare equipment and assist providers during procedures, treatments, examinations and testing.
Oversee timely flow of patient appointments, maintain and review patient records. Perform prior authorizations for procedures.
Opportunity to travel to outreach clinics with provider.
Rotate with other nursing staff to cover Urgent Care evenings and Saturdays.
Education and Experience:
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Dakota or meet the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
One year experience in operating room nursing is preferred.
