Provide direct patient care in the orthopedic clinic under the direction of the provider.
Be eligible for benefits and regular wage increases.
Work in a progressive orthopedics group and collaborate with multiple other specialties.
Perform prior authorizations for procedures.
Greet patients and prepare them for physical examination.
Assist with all procedures as provider requests. Assist in minor surgery and set up equipment as needed and prepares instruments for sterile processing.
Schedules patients for tests and instructs patients in the collection of samples and tests.
Potential to travel to outreach clinics with provider.
Education and Experience:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
Six months to one year related experience or training preferred.
Medical Assistant Registration from the SD Board of Medical Examiners office required.
National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
